I went to Yahoo! to look something up and noticed they have gone pink.
Now if I can just convince them to put a link back to this site. :)
Nice Job! I don’t know if you noticed but there appears to be a link on the yahoo homepage that says “Show you care: Turn your home page pink. 439,734 already did!” and the number keeps climbing significantly with each page refresh (was 441,814 by the time I finished typing this) Good show!
great idea.. i’ll try to pink up my website when i get a chance. just wanted to let you know that this site does not appear to be IE6 compliant. as i am typing this comment from my work computer, i cant even read part of what i am typing because there are overlapping areas.
ah, the main culprits for the improper page rendering are the long URLs in the left side bar.
Nolawi, you have to click the link that says “Turn your Homepage Pink” otherwise it’s just the logo. Click here: http://www.yahoo.com/s/400176
The counter counts how many people clicked the link and made thier yahoo homepage pink.
From what I can tell, it’s due to a non fix-width left coumn, while the other two are in fact fixed. The long links aren’t wrapping, just expaning the left column.
Try either setting a fixed width for the left column, or shortening the links.
This is form a cursory glance, not an in depth look at the code. But it sounds right.
Here is the code for a +My Y! button anyone can stick on their page. It’ll add the content (RSS feed) of this site to their Yahoo homepage…so they can keep track or help spread the word on their own websites.
End Y code–>
The link for an example of the button I am talking about, can be found here: http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/my/addtomyyahoo4.gif
And you can read about it here: http://publisher.yahoo.com/rss_guide/
Have a good evening!
OKAY! Ummm….Code:

*note from Matthew: you’ll have to build that link back up again as leaving it whole trashes the layout. No way around it.
Thanks Matthew…I just had typed it out with the CDATA wrappers around it and came back to repost and make more of a mess! Sorry!
Heh…where’s the delete button?!
OH GAWD. Pink everywhere, on so many sites that I visit. *cries to self in corner, rocking back and forth*
Hopefully IE works better now. I had to change the display of many URLs (not the URLs themselves of course) to make it work.
We’ve gone pink also, and will be donating 25% of all profits this month to the BCRF :)
