Web sites will Go Pink during the month of October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research. But to be clear, raising money isn’t the primary purpose of this web event. The hope is that you turn your site pink (in whatever way works for your site), educate yourself about the multiple issues related to Breast Cancer, then take that knowledge and tell someone else what you’ve learned.

Natalie Jost Makes Your Life Easier

I just received an email from Natalie Jost about her contribution to Pink for October. Ultimately it is a contribution to everyone (well, those running WordPress).

Natalie has made a quite a few color themes on Color Schemer Gallery for everyone to use to inspire their redesigns.

But if you don’t have time to do a redesign on your own, she also is offering two Wordpress (widget-friendly) themes:

P4O Business

And speaking of time… Natalie did this with not much time of her own:

With the twins on the way in the next couple of months I need something that will be low maintenance and simple and clean looking without all the “junk” so that I can leave my blog alone and not worry about updating content all the time.

So a big, Big, BIG thanks to Natalie for doing this.

Natalie has given her permission for the themes to be ported to other platforms as long as the proper credit to her for the design work stays, so have at it if you have the time and ability to do such a thing. Link us up in the comments.

More updates, to this site and for your use, are on the way so stay tuned.

Hi there, what a wonderful inspirational site you have. I am currently raising awareness for all cancer on my site as part of cancer awareness month. I have just written a pink blog on breast cancer - and I hope you don’t mind but I’ve linked your site.
I am a cancer survivor myself - I had chondrosarcoma (primary bone cancer) but have now been a NERD (no evidence of recurring disease) for 11 years! :-)

[...] it, you have 10 days to come up with a cute theme and the crew over at Pink For October even have a few premade for you if you want to use [...]
