Go Pink in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness

Oct 07 2007

Pink for October wants to know what the colour pink means to you. Colours have strong meanings attached to them and this survey is a quick bit of fun to see what people associate with the colour pink.

If you’d like to participate just visit the survey. The results of this will be posted later on this site. All answers are anonymous. It should be an interesting experiment to find out in this month of pink what the colour means to different people.

This is the first in a number of surveys we’ll be running over the coming month. We’ll look at a number of issues related to Breast Cancer so keep a lookout for those. Until then, since there’s much talk about the colour pink during the month of October, we start here.

I hope you all enjoy it and look forward to seeing what the colour pink really does mean to people.

You know, just one small observation.

This isn’t the month of pink - it is the month of breast cancer awareness.

Sure we use pink to create a consistent message (which is important), but it is not about the color. It is not about what we think of the color, or creating pink designs. It is about telling people about Breast Cancer.

I really like the concept of Pink for October, but let’s keep the right focus :)

Thomas,

You make a good point. We’re just starting out with this one. We’ll be doing other surveys during the month too.

As I learned recently, it’s good to test the system with a small thing first. :)

It’s like how we associate “green” with organ donations here in Malaysia :)

BTW, pink reminds me of Pink Panther! :)
