Web sites will Go Pink during the month of October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research. But to be clear, raising money isn’t the primary purpose of this web event. The hope is that you turn your site pink (in whatever way works for your site), educate yourself about the multiple issues related to Breast Cancer, then take that knowledge and tell someone else what you’ve learned.

What have you done in conjunction with P4O?

Remember about a month ago I said we have 4 extra prizes for our contests? In the first bonus contest, I invited you to share your story and in the second bonus contest, I invited you to design (and share) Pink for October buttons/badges/banners. In the third bonus contest, I invited you to complete a sentence beginning with “Breast cancer…” in no more than 20 words. Now, in this fourth (and last) bonus contest, I am asking you to tell us ALL that you have done in conjunction with Pink for October.

It is very easy to participate — All you need to do is write a blog post on your blog, telling us what you have done since October 1st to spread awareness on breast cancer. Have you been writing about breast cancer every other day? Have you been talking to your friends about self breast exams? Have you been reading up about the myths and truths regarding breast cancer? Have you been volunteering in a hospital, helping cancer-stricken patients? Have you been walking for a cure?

Whatever it was that you have done, we would like to know ALL about it. But don’t forget to leave us a comment in the comments section! Otherwise we wouldn’t know that you have participated! :D

On Oct 31st, I will randomly pick one blog post, and the lucky winner will win one of these prizes. It’s that easy! :D

Good luck!

Well Pink for October is great, I wear more pink during October and during the year now to show go out and get a mammogram..I blog, there are a few docs here who know if a woman is scared or just wants someone to go with them, I am there to hold their patients hands and they call me, it can be scary to some and they do not have to be alone. I openly talk about mammograms and finding affordable or no cost cost ones becuse I have been thru it and can help those who are worried about taking care of things becasue of no insurance- low finances. We do alot and hope someday I will wear pink because I want too, not because of breast cancer-that a cure will be found. You know my blog site its posted already!
